Hope for Children Trust is a Malawian nonprofit organization established in 2018 to address the systemic neglect of street-connected children (SCC). The organisation focuses on prevention, protection, rehabilitation, and reintegration, ensuring that vulnerable children are given the opportunity to live with dignity, safety, and hope.

What we do

Hope for Children Trust currently supports over 140 children through a range of structured programs, including:

1. Education support

2. Psychosocial and emotional care

3. Rehabilitation and behaviour change programs

4. Community and family reintegration services

The organisation operates three shelters that provide safe accommodation, care, and daily support for children rescued from the streets. These shelters serve as bridges to stable family life, education, and long-term independence. Hope for Children Trust works closely with the Department of Social Welfare, Ministry of Gender, Malawi Police, and several community-based organisations to deliver coordinated, rights-based interventions. Through its commitment to long-term impact, the organisation has seen remarkable success stories, including formerly street-connected youths now studying at the University of Malawi and others developing professional skills in vocational institutions. To continue expanding its reach and improving the lives of more vulnerable children, Hope for Children Trust is actively seeking donations and support. Contributions help sustain the shelters, provide food, education materials, counselling, and long-term reintegration services.
